Hi girls!
How are you doing? It's getting REALLY hot these days, and I sometimes can't fall asleep without
AC┐(´д`)┌
Do you remember that I made a slip by bambi pattern from Burdastyle? It's actually very useful in this season. I should make more of them. When I am at home, I wear the slip or camisole & shorts. We are not trying to use AC, because electricity problem is pretty serious here. It's probably why I started using more gauze and linen fabric.
I made this naniiro dots shirts for my dear friend Sana. She brought some fabric for me to sew;) Isn't it so cute? I like those not-perfect-shaped dots:) I hope she will love it. Also I am working on blouse for her and me now. It's Kayo Horaguchi's fabric and just found out that there are many products of her design! You can see pretty umbrella here. Also search "Kayo Horaguchi Amazon", and you can see many of her items!!
I should have sewed little more, but my new buddy android is just so much fun to play with:D Me and my husband went to ride bicycle on the other day and took some pictures with android. We use fxcamera, retro camera, and picplz. They work really great and the quality of photo is much better than I expected;)
さな~、ついにできたよ~!かわいいね。一緒に合わせる服を考えておいてね。これからもう一つのブラウス縫いまーす!
Well, I will try to sew more on this week;) I promise.
Have a great weekend!!

I've been wondering about summer fabrics actually because shop bought stuff always feels so scratchy. There's probably polyester in there but I'm not sure. I like highthread count cottons but was looking for something sheer and light that was equally comfortable that is natural and not rough. I'm suspicious about chiffon as that seems unpredictable and quite hot so was thinking silk but was worried that wouldn't handle perspiration etc and I have silk chiffon which feels hot anyway! I want that coolness of cotton but sheer for kaftans if possible. Not keen on linen because of the ironing issue. What are your thoughts on very lightweight summer heatwave fabrics? X

ReplyDeleteI made this blouse and like it very much! I dream of some of that Nani Iro fabric. It's a matter of time before I can't help but buy some!

This top is adorable! Hahaha, what a coincidence with the fabric! :) I guess, this is the double gauze one? Simply love it and I guess your friend will too! <3
ReplyDelete@LianneI think cotton lawn would be great for you! It's so light, and almost wrinkle free! I have a several dress of cotton lawn and love it!!
ReplyDelete@two hipposYou're welcome! I didn't attach the sleeves, but it would be really sexy with them;)
ReplyDelete@TillyThank you Tilly! The pattern was pretty easy, so even without having the book, I think you can try!!
ReplyDelete@CindoraThank you so much!!^o^/
ReplyDelete@UnfurledOH you made one before! I love your version! Thanks for sharing! I didn't make it two layers of fabric, instead, I made facing for bow and neckline. Hope you will enjoy sewing with naniiro fabric soon!!
